Can't stand the rain in July..Okay, June.

Hello Humans,

I can't believe it's June already.  Time has been flying by *dramatic music* we have hardly done ANYTHING  on our list, and summer is ALMOST OVER!
Okay, Okay, we have until the end of September-ish, but I feel like it's going to go *clicks fingers* just like that!
Well, apart from having fun, we're also supposed to be applying for jobs (well I have been).  Big summer plans, means big summer plans money, but sometimes I just want to do a Michael Scott and say..
The US Office

But I don't live in the weird and wonderful world of fictional Scranton with Michael and the gang, so I guess I got's to keep at it like Dory..
Finding Nemo

As you guys can probably tell, I've been watching quite a bit of TV.  Especially the Office.  I love Michael Scott. (I haven't actually watched Finding Nemo yet though)

Okay that was a totally useless post, but I thought I should keep y'all in the loop :)

Seeyaaaaaa Later Alligator xoxo Gossip Girl I feel like ending all my posts like this even though I'm not Gossip Girl, ha.

P.S: My hair has grown! woooop wooop.

P.S x2: The weather here in London has been quite good to be honest, It's just raining right now lol.

P.S x3: I hope you remembered to read the small print.

Strawberry, Banana & Pineapple Smoothie ♥

Hey guys, the temperature is rising and exams are over! (for me at least, sorry others :p) It's time to put the junk food behind me and have a diet makeover. No distractions, health and fitness must be put first. Yesterday I was so happy that I found my blender from when I lived in halls, the family one is half broken - the noises make me afraid to use it! I took a trip to the supermarket and bought a load of fruit: blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, bananas and a mango; along with some other heath goodies. I felt quite proud of my haul and since I had rediscovered my blender I thought it'd be a great idea to revisit the land of smoothies!

I love making smoothies, it's such a fun and easy way to get a load of your 5 a day. Plus, if you're like me and aren't in love with a lot of vegetables, its a good way to get the nutrients with a pleasanter taste :)

Bear with me here but I don't know how to be exact with these

Ingredients:
  • 6 strawberries
  • Half a banana
  • A chunk of pineapple
  • A dash of cinnamon
  • Half a glass of soya milk
Chuck it all in and BLEND

Tasted Good!
Try it out :)

Natural Looking Extensions!

Okay so from my last post you should know that I have no hair to play with. I love how low maintenance it is and everything, but it would be great to have that long lusciously curly look with minimal effort.  I introduce you to 'Heat Free Hair'! Just look at it. I don't think I have ever seen weave look so natural. Most people usually opt for straight extensions or maybe a loose curl, but this is great! It would almost look like my hair when I had it longer. They have wigs (with or without a U-part) and weaves with various textures and density's.

< This is all me right there. I don't care that this isn't my exact hair texture, I'm all up in it! Maybe I just want to look that pretty...
(Wig: For Koils Queen Wig)

There are many different textures and lengths too, check it out!

The perks of M.A.C. makeup

A while ago I found out something amazing...

M.A.C. give out FREE lipstick (if you have 6 empty containers of their products) - I know this is the case for the UK M.A.C stores, i'm not sure about the rest of the world but apparently this has been going on for years. What a wonderful way to recycle (i think that's what happens with the empty liquid foundation tubs, lipstick holders etc lol) AND get a freebie!

Let me tell you about the wonderful process:

1) You have your six empty containers.
2) Walk/drive/etc to your nearest M.A.C. store, pick out the lipstick colour you like.
3) Walk to the till with your containers, hand them over to the cashier, show them the lipstick colour you want and then bam! They just hand you over a new lipstick and say "have a good day"!!

It... is... so... cool.

So for all you lipstick lovers out there - go get yours!

Here's a picture of the colour (Diva A14 matte) I got from their store in Selfridges:

See ya x

Big Chop?

Okay so I know the title of this blog is called London's afro however; I am currently Afro-less!

It doesn't feel completely correct to call this a big chop since my hair was always natural but what the hey. I have made no complaints since the day I cut my hair, 4 months ago. I love it! Life is easy breezy beautiful (cover girl). From the above photos you can see in a short time I've encountered a few stages.

When I first my hair I had no idea what I was doing, I wasn't going for any particular style, I just wanted my hair GONE! When I came home I found it amusing that I still had the parting in my hair from when it was longer.
The next time now (or maybe the third) I decided to get a bit of style! Look at that line, so clean! I need to go back to my Jamaican barber. That cut was before I went on holiday and then I let my hair grow out for two months. I have to say that looking back on this photo, it was a nice hairstyle, I remember getting a lot of compliments.
But then the cutting itch came back and I had another cut which I wasn't so much in love with (got to start explaining myself more to the men with the shears!)

Currently, I am not at any of these stages, I still need to experiment with colour and I'm debating about growing it back to the curly stage. The great thing about short hair is that you actually see it grow which is something I've never experienced but find fascinating. I'll be back to let you know what else I do.

 Peace x

Summer Lovin'

Hey Guys,
Woah, it's been ages since I last posted something. Li, Resha and I were chillin'  yesterday and realised we've been continuously neglecting our blog (not so much Li) so I'm sorry!

It's  SUMMER 😁
We've  finished our second year of university. It went by so quickly! - I'm not sure if the phrase 'time flies when you're having fun' really applies here though, haha.  So  we have compiled together a list of things we want to do together this summer, some of which include:

1. Shopping (of course)
2. Getting a job to pay for the shopping (ha)
3. Roller disco (we've never been)
3. Taking a lot of photos
4. Hanging out/chillin
5. Watching movies
6. Going to Paris
(I bet some of y'all didn't even notice the  extra 3, loool)

We have already started, and trust me, I'm excited :)
It's gonna be fun, I hope you can share this adventure with us!
If we remember to post on the blog :p

Have an amazing summer everyone!

Here are some pictures :
